Our newest Partner Kilimo Round Table
Grounded in Data, Driven by People
Our partnership with KRTA ensures that grassroots voices—especially youth and smallholder farmers—are central to policy discussions. By combining data-driven analysis with community insights, we bridge the gap between national policy and local realities to build an agriculture sector that works for everyone.
Data-Driven Policy for Africa’s Agriculture
Through our collaboration with Kilimo RoundTable Africa (KRTA), we are advancing evidence-based policy dialogue that empowers governments, farmers, and the private sector to make informed decisions for a more resilient and inclusive agricultural future.
About the Partnership
In March 2025, Uchumi Institute and Kilimo RoundTable Africa (KRTA) formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen evidence-based agricultural policy and grassroots engagement across Tanzania and the continent.
This partnership brings together KRTA’s convening power and Uchumi Institute’s research expertise to co-create platforms that elevate farmer voices, especially youth and women, while driving data-driven policy dialogue. Through joint strategic forums, research initiatives, and advisory support, we aim to bridge the gap between grassroots realities and national policymaking.
Our role is to lead technical research, curate insights from community and stakeholder consultations, and shape policy recommendations grounded in field data. Together with KRTA, we are working to unlock the full potential of African agriculture—starting from the ground up.
